Ken Apperson’s Sunday Sesh is a good way for Tampa Bay music fans to stay safe at home

Stephanie Powers - Creative Loafing

Sunday Sesh is the ideal show for the new rise in coronavirus cases because you don’t have to leave the safety of your own bubble to attend. Local singer/songwriter Ken Apperson is taking on the role of talk show host in the virtual streaming show that airs live Sunday nights. The weekly show features interviews and performances from local artists at local venues (past episode guests include Mike Mass and Shawn Kyle).

This weekend’s show will feature the Rhythm and Blues fusion collective Synergy in a Cupdiscussing and playing music from its upcoming album.

You can really make the experience feel real by paying a cover, which in this case means tipping the band who’s information will be provided. The Sunday Sesh airs weekly at 7 p.m. Watch it on Facebook.
